Ledley's warning

Posted on 25 December 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King insists the team will not get carried away by the recent upturn in fortunes and realise the challenge they are due to face against Norwich City on Boxing Day.

Four wins on the spin has signalled a natural lift in spirits around the training ground, but the current team captain is well aware the festive work is only just beginning and is hoping for a healthy boost to the points tally over the holiday programme.

"If you take it back four games we lost the last six," reflected Ledley. "Things can change so we've got to keep working hard, taking one game at a time. At the moment we believe we can win every time we're on the pitch and that is a great confidence to have.

"We played Norwich earlier in the season and should have beaten them, but they are a good side with good players. It is not going to be easy at their ground."

Of course, as Ledley remembers well, it could have been different on the day. Darren Huckerby's pace caused all sorts of problems in the closing stages and could have snatched the win for Norwich.

"It did, Darren is always lively, a danger that we've got to be aware of."
