As the 65th minute corner came over from the Charlton right, Carlton Cole maneuvered away from Ledley to power home a header off the underside of our crossbar. It was a cruel blow for the team, who took the game to the visitors in the first period.
"We're all disappointed," said a dejected Ledley after the game. "We did play well in the first half and the team talk at half-time was about going out and trying to do the same.
"We never really picked it up again like the first half and we are disappointed to let another goal in from a set piece - which was my man and I'm upset about that.
"We had a good spell before that where we were defending well from set pieces. All of a sudden we are maybe suffering from lapses in concentration.
"We've got to pick ourselves up and lift ourselves for the cup game."
Ledley King revealed his disappointment over losing his man in the set piece that led to Charlton's winner on Sunday.
