Ledley King feels the performance and win at Hull showed exactly how we need to play on the road for the rest of the season.
Jonathan Woodgate's 85th-minute header secured a crucial 2-1 victory at the KC Stadium on Monday night and ended a run of four heartbreaking late-goal losses on our travels.
It also lifted us five points clear of the bottom three in the Premier League - a vital cushion as we now step back into cup action.
"We did the dirty work well and then tried to get the ball down and play," reflected Ledley, typically flawless on his return from a month out with a hamstring injury. "That's how we have to play away from home.
"We had to deal with a lot of aerial balls, they were a threat, we rolled our sleeves up and did that and were then brave enough to try and play as well.
"That was important, not to get caught up in their style of football, we had to stick to ours.
"We had a good mix on the night and it was a massive win for us."
