There were few complaints as the visitors hit the crossbar four times and eventually clinched the points via Kevin Nolan's goal in the second half.
"We didn't pass the ball well enough, the tempo wasn't good enough and we got punished in the end," said Ledley.
"They played with one up front and two players joining in and it can be a bit congested in the midfield at times.
"It was tough but we didn't play as well as we could and that's the reason why we lost.
"They have some good players and I didn't feel at my sharpest although that's not an excuse, we didn't get to grips with them and that was disappointing."
