Ledley King is well aware of the task we face in Switzerland this week as we aim to make the group stages of this season's Champions League.
The squad have arrived in Bern ahead of the first leg of our Play-Off with BSC Young Boys on Tuesday.
Our Club captain is relishing the chance of making it through to the next stage of European football's elite competition.
But Ledley has three UEFA Cup campaigns with us under his belt and knows how tough these ties can be, especially away from home.
He said: "We're looking forward to the play-off and hopefully getting into the group stages. It's important we don't look past the play-off and these important games both home and away.
"We will take Young Boys very seriously, even though we don't know too much about them. We're expecting a tough game and away from home is always tough in Europe.
"We've still got a big job to make sure we get through this play-off."
Nonetheless, the chance to compete against the continent's finest is now closer than ever before and, having been at the Lane since the age of 14, Ledley recognises how big an achievement it is to be where we are thanks to our fourth place Premier League finish last season.
He added: "It's been a long time coming. We've come close before and not quite made it, now finally we've stepped over the line and that shows as a club we're on the up and moving in the right direction. It was important to do that and we all believe we can push on from here."
