Our midfield prodigy was forced out of Friday's win against Finland at Barnsley at half-time with a dead leg and after little improvement over the weekend, it was decided he would be better off undergoing treatment at Spurs Lodge rather than travel with the squad.
The good news is that it looks unlikely that the problem will rule him out of Saturday's Premiership derby against Arsenal.
Speaking at the training ground on Monday afternoon, Ledley revealed: "It's not too much of a problem and it will probably just be a couple of days.
"The travelling wouldn’t have done it any good, being in a cramped seat on a plane, so we all thought it would be best to come back to Spurs Lodge and have some treatment on it.
"I’ll have treatment for the next couple of days and hopefully be back in training by the end of the week. As far as I’m concerned I’ll be okay for the Arsenal game on Saturday. It’s a bit stiff at the moment but it should be okay for the weekend.
"It’s a game I definitely want to play in so I will be doing everything I can to be ready for it."
Ledley King has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad for Tuesday's European Championship qualifier in Albania.
