Ledley on Saints return

Posted on 4 January 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King is relishing the prospect of an immediate FA Cup return to Southampton on Saturday but admits he would rather it were a few days later.

Thoughts now turn to the Cup after a busy Premiership programme and, for us, it is a return to the scene of our most recent encounter. Ledley says the team are determined to return from the South Coast this time with a positive result in the bag and a place in the fourth round of the Cup.

"Definitely," he said. "It would be nice to have a few more days before the game but we are looking forward to it.

"We knew what to expect coming into the league game and I think it will be more of the same at the weekend.

"We are definitely up for it.

"We created enough chances on Wednesday and if we'd have gone a goal up I'm sure we would have won the game."

One such chance fell to Ledley when he rose to meet a corner and his glancing header just drifted past the face of the goal. He feels he is due a change of luck on the scoring front.

"I can't score at all at the moment and need a goal. I haven't scored for about a year now so it would be nice."
