Although the team were disappointed at the final outcome, drawing 2-2 after coming from behind to lead, Ledley says performance level is something to be encouraged by.
"Definitely," commented the defender. "Our last few performances haven't really been up to scratch and it was nice to come away from an away game thinking that we did play well and deserved something out of the game.
"I thought they started off brightly but, once they took the lead, we played our best football of the game.
"For a little spell they couldn't really deal with us. We got our two goals and were a bit disappointed in the end that we couldn't hang on to it."
So lively, in fact, were Leeds in the opening stages following their 6-1 mauling of Charlton, the defence must take some credit for withstanding such an onslaught.
"They had a good spell - we were disappointed that we couldn't see it through and not concede. It woke us up a bit but we settled down and played well."
Ledley King feels that the fine display at Leeds can only help build confidence ahead of the crucial Easter programme.
