Ledley in U21s

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King has been named in the England Under-21 squad for the crucial European Championship qualifier against Greece at Blackburn's Ewood Park on Friday.

Our outstanding defensive prospect can expect to win his ninth cap alongside his former club team-mate Luke Young, who is back in the squad after suspension.

England will guarantee top spot in the group and a place in the last 16 play-offs if they overcome the Greeks who won the first encounter 3-1 in Athens.

But a draw or a defeat could see them slip to third spot - and miss out on qualification - if Germany win against Finland.

It is a strong-looking squad including Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick, who have been in senior squads of late.

England Under-21 squad: Chris Kirkland (Liverpool), Paul Robinson (Leeds), Stuart Taylor (Arsenal), Luke Young (Charlton), Wayne Bridge (Southampton), Stephen Wright (Liverpool), Ledley King (Tottenham), Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Titus Bramble (Ipswich), Chris Riggott, Seth Johnson (both Derby), Sean Davis (Fulham), David Dunn (Blackburn), Jonathan Greening, Mark Wilson (both Middlesbrough), Scott Parker (Charlton), Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich), Michael Carrick (West Ham), David Prutton (Nott'm For), Luke Chadwick (Man Utd), Darius Vassell (Aston Villa), Francis Jeffers (Arsenal), Malcolm Christie (Derby), Tommy Smith (Watford), Shola Ameobi (Newcastle).
