Ledley happy to see red

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Liverpool have played a major part in Ledley King's career so far - he's looking for another day to remember this weekend.

Go back to May 1999 and Ledley made his full debut as substitute in an amazing game at Anfield where we led 2-0 before having Mauricio Taricco sent off and eventually losing 3-2.

Eighteen months later and both Ledley and Alton Thelwell made their first starts of the season - Alton's debut - Ledley in midfield, as we toppled the Reds 2-1 at the Lane.

Sunday is our next meeting with the Anfield giants and a crucial one at home - victory and we'll be back on level points with the in-form Reds.

"Yes, Liverpool is a game that stands out quite a lot for me," said Ledley. "I made my debut at Anfield, came on and played left-back and then I made my full debut against them at White Hart Lane.

"It's always a big game and we need to get a win at the moment.

"We all believe we should have done better in our last two games and Liverpool will be confident after winning the Worthington Cup Final. It will be a tough game but we're up for it."

Liverpool have won five on the trot including the Worthington Cup Final but the Reds' visit to the Lane should hold no fears - we've won our last four Premiership meetings in N17 and you have to go back to December 1996 for Liverpool's last win here.

Ledley added: "They are a good side but we need a win. We've done well against them at White Hart Lane and we're looking to continue that, definitely."
