Ledley becomes kiosk’s first customer

Ledley King beat the crowds at Wembley Stadium last Sunday to become the first customer at our Foundation’s match day catering kiosk.

The kiosk is open at all our home matches and is staffed by 16 to 24-year-old volunteers from the local community in Brent. All participants are guaranteed a job interview with Wembley Stadium’s catering partner Delaware after three shifts and the initiative forms part of the Club’s commitment to providing opportunities to local people during our season at Wembley.

Our former captain spent time chatting to volunteers about how they were finding their first shift before testing their skills by placing several orders.

Speaking on the day, Ledley said: “It’s fantastic that we’re reaching out to young people in Brent and providing them with training and employment opportunities like this.

“Working on busy match days is a great way for them to gain experience and build their confidence so they’re in a strong position to secure full-time jobs.”
