There are a number of reasons why Ledley King is targeting a win against West Ham this afternoon (Sunday, March 9).

There are a number of reasons why Ledley King is targeting a win against West Ham this afternoon (Sunday, March 9).

"It's a chance for us to get back to winning ways, a chance for us to close the gap on them and try to climb into the top half of the table," insisted the skipper ahead of the Barclays Premier League clash at the Lane, kick-off 3pm.

"West Ham is always a cracking fixture, there is a lot of banter between the fans and I know a lot of West Ham fans myself, so it's always nice to put one over them!"

Ledley also felt it was ideal to step back into action just a three days after our UEFA Cup R16 first leg loss against PSV. "Especially being at home," he added. "And there is no better game than West Ham at home.

"If we can claw three points back on them it's ideal for us."
