English Barclays Premiership

Newcastle boss Bobby Robson is facing an early injury crisis before our visit to St James' Park on Saturday.

Both Carl Cort and Nikos Dabizas are rated doubtful after limping off against Derby County on Wednesday night.

Big L7m summer capture Cort suffered a hamstring problem after marking his home debut with a goal while defender Dabizas is believed to have picked up cartilage damage after wrenching his knee. Both were due to undergo scans on Thursday.

Meanwhile Marcelino faces a three-week break after having an operation on his finger, midfielder Rob Lee remains doubtful after picking up a calf knock against Manchester United last Sunday and Christian Bassedas, Kevin Gallacher and Andy Griffin are all still crocked. Robson said: "Cort has a lower hamstring problem and Dabizas a suspected cartilage injury so they are extremely doubtful for the weekend."

Chris Armstrong remains out for us with a groin problem. Youngster Anthony Gardner (thigh) is also missing while longer-term problems Ledley King (broken foot), Willem Korsten (hip) are both recovering well but still sidelined.

You can watch the Newcastle match live at White Hart Lane on Saturday. It will be shown on the Jumbotron and admission is L5 for adults and FREE for children (under 16s) and OAPs.
