The boss said himself after the match that Gus's goal 'felt like a winner', and that feeling seems to have transferred itself to the players as well.
"I've got to say that the spirit here has been excellent right from pre-season through," said Glenn. "But last week I think it was a significant goal so late in the game.
"The spirit in training has been great, it is like the players have kicked up a few more gears. The training today (Thursday) in particular, I was very, very pleased with some of the work we did for Saturday and the quality that came out in the small-sided games."
The spirit and strength of the squad can only be improved by the return to training of the likes of Steffen Iversen and Stephen Clemence.
"Now we're getting a few experienced players back as well from long-term injury so the squad is looking very solid and there is lots of quality in there - and that bodes well for the future."
Glenn Hoddle says that the late leveller against Arsenal has put an extra spring in the player's legs this week in training at Spurs Lodge.
