John Gorman has revealed that the management team will make a 'late decision' as to whether or not Robbie Keane faces Chelsea on Saturday.
The good news is that Thursday's scans revealed no serious damage to the ankle problem the Irish star sustained against Newcastle United on Wednesday night.
Assistant boss John reported after training this afternoon: "The good news is that there is nothing serious in there but his ankle is still sore. We'll make a late decision on his fitness for Chelsea."
The good news is that Steffen Iversen has been passed fit to play having missed the 1-0 defeat against the Magpies with a dead leg.
That means only Jamie Redknapp, on the mend after a broken toe, and long-term injury victim Christian Ziege (thigh) are unavailable for what is a key Premiership fixture at Stamford Bridge.
