'Important to win our first Euro game' - Erik

Erik Lamela has highlighted the need to get off to a winning start in the Europa League tonight (Thursday, September 17).

Azerbaijani side Qarabag are the visitors to White Hart Lane as we get proceedings underway in Group J in an 8.05pm kick-off, with Anderlecht hosting Monaco at the same time.

A substitute in Sunday’s win at Sunderland in the Premier League, Erik is targeting a second victory in four days to give ourselves a solid platform on which to build what he hopes will be a lengthy European run.

“It’s important to get off to a good start in the group against Qarabag,” said the 23-year-old.

“It’s another competition and we need to win every game if we are going to do well. It’s one thing to say that we want to win the trophy but we need to keep winning and keep improving as we work towards this.

“We are playing at home tonight and that helps us – we are happy about playing at White Hart Lane.

“Our team is good, very young and we look to improve with every game.”

Tickets for this match are priced at £20 (adults), £10 (seniors) and £5 (under-18s). Family packages (two adults and two juniors) are available for £40.
