Our Academy squad has flown out to America to take part in the prestigious Dallas Cup.
The lads will open the tournament against home team Dallas Texans at the Pizza Hut Park Stadium in Frisco, Texas - home of MLS side FC Dallas - on Sunday, March 28.
That is the first of three matches in the 'Super Group' stage and we then take on the Japanese national team on Monday, March 29 before finishing the group against Mexican side Tigres on Wednesday, March 31.
It's an Under-20 event but we've taken a relatively young squad including eight First Year trainees and two Under-16 players in Jack Bartram and Jack Munns.
Skipper and top-scorer Harry Kane is on England Under-17 duty while the likes of Dean Parrett, Andros Townsend, Jake Livermore, Danny Rose, John Bostock and Ryan Mason - all eligible for the tournament - remain at home as they are in and around the first-team squad.
"We're taking a very young squad, so our expectations will be more realistic for that group, but we're still travelling out there with every intention of winning matches," said coach Alex Inglethorpe.
"We've a number of players who could be involved but the reason they are not involved is very positive, whether it's because they are away on loan or training with the first-team squad.
"It gives a chance for the younger lads to show what they can do on the international stage and the trip as a whole will be fantastic for their development.
"We've been invited to this tournament on the back of a number of impressive displays in tournaments all around the world and we intend to maintain that reputation."
Squad: Jansson, Bartram, Blackwood, Butcher, Byrne, Carroll, Cox, Durojaiye, Francis-Angol, Luongo, M'poku, Archer, Munns, Nicholson, Oyenuga, Pritchard, Tapping, Waller-Lassen.
