Lads in Dubai

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Exclusive pictures from the squad's warm weather training camp in Dubai.

The lads have trained in two venues. First, 'The Sevens' Stadium, the home of the Dubai Rugby Sevens and then the Al-Rashid Stadium, home of Al-Ahli FC.

Sam Erith, our Head of Sports Science, Fitness and Conditioning, gave us an insight to the training sessions so far after the squad flew out to the UAE on Thursday last week.

"We started with a recovery session on Friday at the Sevens Stadium," he said.

"The first team squad had a rest day on Saturday but the injured players (the likes of Gareth Bale, Younes Kaboul, Rafa van der Vaart) all trained and worked hard.

"On Sunday, we trained at Al-Ahli and that was a high-intensity session, warm-ups into speed work, a finishing drill and then matches.

"This morning (Monday, February 28), the manager concentrated on team shape and tactics and the lads did a gym session in the afternoon. We'll do something similar tomorrow (Tuesday, March 1).

"The lads have all worked hard and it's been a case of working in the morning and then having time for recovery in the afternoon, taking advantage of the warm weather out here."
