Brad Friedel, Michael Dawson and Kyle Walker were joined by new signings Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen at a stylish launch event in London.
Goalkeeper Brad, who has seen plenty of kits in 20 years in the game, said: “I like the look of the kit and more importantly, I like the feel of it.
“Under Armour is a massive company and take a lot of time over their products.
“I don’t think people realise the science that goes behind all the fittings, the warmth and cooling products used and they really do make a difference. They’ve done a tremendous job.”
Michael said: “A lot of work and technology has gone into getting the kit as good as it is. It looks good, feels good and hopefully we’ll play well in it.”
Jan has enjoyed his first training sessions as a Spurs player in the new training kit. “I’ve trained in the kit and it fits perfectly,” he said. “It’s very important to feel good in the kit, one of the most important things in football. It’s the first time I’ve worn Under Armour and I’m very happy with it.”
Gylfi has also enjoyed his first week as a Spurs player in the new training kit. “I’m from Scandinavia and Tottenham has a massive fan base out there,” he said.
“Everyone knows the Tottenham kit, no matter where you go in the world. The players have trained in it this week and all like it and they will like the match kit as well.”
The new home and away kit is on sale tomorrow and Sheffield-born Kyle remembers the days when he went out to buy Sheffield United kits as a youngster.
“It’s always so exciting, thinking what number you’ll get on the back, or what name,” he said. “It’s exciting times for us now to be wearing this new kit. It’s a new era and hopefully it will bring us luck as well.”
