We sit third in the table but Arsenal and Chelsea have gained ground on us after defeats at the Emirates, United and Everton.
“We’ve had a difficult run of games and it’s important we get back on a winning run,” said assistant boss Kevin.
“Everyone is keen to do that, the players are focused and looking forward to the game.
“We can’t get away from the fact that we’ve had three straight defeats and it’s all been said already, but after letting ourselves down in the second half against Arsenal the performances have been good.
“The positive news on Fabrice Muamba has given everyone a lift as well.”
Stoke - who ended our run of 11 matches unbeaten in the Premier League when they beat us at the Britannia in December - are on a run of just two league wins in seven and now sit 14th in the table.
“Even if they didn’t pick up results in those games, I’m sure their opponents would say none of those games were easy,” added Kevin. “No-one gets an easy game against Stoke.
“We’re prepared for what they offer and hopefully they won’t be prepared for what we’ll offer.
“The players are all eager to get things going again.”
