Our players were out and about in the local community meeting fans young and old over the Easter holidays.

No less than eight of Harry Redknapp's first team squad gave up their time to take part in signing sessions in our merchandise stores or visits to our Tottenham Hotspur Soccer Schools.

First up, on Tuesday April 7, leading goalscorer Darren Bent and defender Pascal Chimbonda signed autographs for queuing fans for two hours at the Spurs Shop in Harlow town centre.

Jermain Defoe was on similar duty a week later, doing his stint at the Spurs Megastore on Tottenham High Road - footage of which can be seen on Spurs TV Online this week.

Also during the two-week period, Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas, Heurelho Gomes and Gilberto all paid visits to the Easter Soccer School programmes run by FA-qualified coaches.

Children aged between 5-14 attended three-day courses to learn football skills and techniques and taking part in fun football games, before getting to meet one (or two) of their heroes on the final day.

On Thursday April 9, captain Robbie Keane paid a visit to Ware, Hertfordshire, while Aaron Lennon made the short trip down the road from the Club's training ground to Chigwell School, Essex.

The following week, Jermaine Jenas was in attendance at Southgate Cricket Club, Enfield, while at Grays in Essex, the youngsters got two Brazilian internationals for the price of one as both Gomes and Gilberto made an appearance.

All players took part in question and answer sessions with the children, before handing out certificates and signing autographs for all that took part.
