Our title-winning Spurs Ladies team were rewarded for this season’s success with a visit to the Lodge to meet Harry Redknapp’s men this week.
The Ladies, led by coach Karen Hills, won promotion as champions from the South-East Combination and were also League Cup semi-finalists.
They arrived at the Club’s training ground parading their trophy before watching the lads train and getting the chance to meet and talk football with the likes of Michael Dawson, Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart, and Harry.
It served as a boost ahead of what is likely to be a tough pre-season in preparation for the big step up to the FA Women’s Premier League South next season.
Karen Hills said: “We were really fortunate to come and watch the guys train after a spectacular season, and the girls have been rewarded with a special day.
“It’s going to be a big jump for the girls next season, we know the physical element will come into it a lot more and the teams up there are very well organised, so we will need everyone on their game.
“We’re going to be playing against well-established clubs such as West Ham, Cardiff and Portsmouth, so it’s going to be a good challenge.”
