Watford Ladies U10 0
Tottenham Hotspur U10 Whites 9

The Under 10 Whites maintained their 100 % league record with an excellent 9-0 away victory over Watford in the HCGFL on Saturday.

Playing an attractive passing game, Spurs showed clinical finishing through Hannah Fenton-Burgess and Tia Fogarty who both gained hat-tricks.

The defensive unit of the side - Kitty Chapman, Natasha Smits, Jenny Hunnable and Georgia Sanders - continues to provide a solid base for the team keeping a clean sheet for the seventh game in a row.

Central midfielders Evie Rose and captain Emma Lee provided the driving force for the Tottenham performance and they also bagged themselves a goal each in the process. The versatility of the side could be seen when Georgia Sanders popped up to score the last of Spurs’ nine goals.

Squad: Kitty Chapman, Jenny Hunnable, Natasha Smits, Georgia Sanders, Emma Lee, Isabella Rueben-Compton, Evie Rose, Tia Fogarty, Hannah Fenton-Burgess

Tottenham Hotspur U10 Blues 4
Stotfold U10 1

A last minute change in goal and a comeback from a goal down marked a fine three points for Spurs Under-10 Blues against Stotfold, the team just below them in the table.

A knock on the head in the warm up meant regular goalkeeper Lauren Ludwick had to be replaced by Jacqueline McLucas with the rest of the team shuffled to accommodate the switch.

It was soon 0-1 to Stotfold, as their forward seized on a loose ball across the face of the Tottenham goal by Maya Vio. However, she more than made amends with a goal after she lifted the ball over her own head and thumped it into the net. Vio then set up Ellis Lunn, who shot into the bottom left hand corner of the Stotfold goal to make it 2-1 on fourteen minutes.

The game swung from end to end until the half time whistle, but the Blues repelled Stotfold and when Chloe Tunnicliffe chased a lost cause, she turned to run with the ball and unleashed a shot that took a deflection for a third Spurs goal.

Not to be out-done Lunn hit a second to make it 4-1 to Spurs for a win that keeps them within touching distance of the leaders.

Squad: Jacqueline McLucas, Chloe Tunnicliffe, Tara Sandford (c), Christie Page, Ellis Lunn, Shannon Shacklock, Chantay Watson, Poppy Bennett, Daniela Charles, Lauren Ludwick, Maya Vio

Tottenham Hotspur U11 Blues 2
QPR U11 1

Although the Spurs U11 Blues keep their winning streak going, it was a display lacking their usual sparkle.

Two Lulu Fox goals earned Tottenham the three points, but a keen Queens Park Rangers side battled hard to make Spurs earn their victory and their goal ensured that they pushed the Blues all the way to the final whistle.

Squad: Naomi Coulson, Chloe Smith, Jemma McCarthy, Phoebe Guiver (c), Georgia Miller, Louisa Fox, Loren Humphreys, Carly Mackey.

Denham United U11 2
Tottenham Hotspur U11 Whites 1

A lacklustre first half cost the Under 11 Whites points on their visit to Denham United to face the Wildcats.

Despite some good pressure on the home goal, Spurs failed to make it count and as has been the way lately, Tottenham went one down before the break. Half time saw the goalkeeper Lauren Holman forced to go off and Alison Woodward took her place between the sticks.

Almost immediately after the restart, Kathleen Jackson shot hard from outside the area and the ball found its way to the corner of the net for the equaliser. Spurs stepped up the pace of the game with Abigail Barrett and Charlotte Chaloner going close.

The Spurs defence seemed to be holding Denham out, but near the end a high bouncing ball evaded the defenders and Denham grabbed the decisive goal at the death.

Squad: Lauren Holman, Rhiannon Bassett, Kayla Miles, Kathleen Jackson, Nicole Hall, Monique Thompson, Rachel Brier, Alison Woodward (c), Abigail Barrett, Charlotte Chaloner

Tottenham Hotspur U12 5
Belmont United U12 1

A lightning fast start to the match saw Tottenham’s Under 12s take a very quick lead and go on to beat Belmont United 5-1.

Charlotte McLucas’ shot was parried by the keeper and Ruth Collett followed up to make it 1-0 after about 20 seconds of the kick off. As Spurs passed the ball around nicely, it was from a corner that McLucas floated the ball into the area, where Bobbi Cubberley was on it in a flash to hit a well struck half volley into the back of the net after eight minutes.

Tottenham’s third goal came when Cubberley produced an excellent cross to Tori Tripp, who smashed the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0 after 10 minutes. Cubberley was the provider once more, with a superb through ball to Collett who shot home the fourth after 15 minutes.

Belmont held firm and launched some attacks of their own, but ten minutes from time,
Amy Woff’s angled drive beat the keeper and ran along the goal line, hitting the far post. As the ball came out, it came out to Marva Kreel who delivered it neatly into the back of the net to make it 5-0.

Still Belmont didn’t give up and they had a cross whistled across the goal mouth and finally they broke through when their striker hit a low shot under the body of Lily-Anna Tyrimos.

Team: Lily-Anna Tyrimos, Hollie Watson, Shoshana Field, Libby Lovick, Marva Kreel, Amy Woff, Tori Tripp, Charlotte McLucas, Ruth Collett, Saskia Collins, Vicki Blake, Tianna Carrington, Laura Newby, Bobbi Cubberley

St. Albans City Youth U13 0
Tottenham Hotspur U13 3

Spurs Ladies U13 maintained their unbeaten record with s subdues home win against St Albans City Youth at Fredrick Knights Sports Ground.

A much-changed Spurs side took the lead through Laura Smith, who spotted the St. Albans keeper off her line and lobbed over her from 25 yards out. Despite St. Albans coming close to equalising in the 34th minute, Renata Inniss swerved through the St Albans defence to give Spurs a 2-0 lead right on half time.

After two minutes of play in the second half, Spurs extended their lead to 3-0 with a Whitney Tango striker. The remained of the match saw Spurs have a lot of possession, but the visitors did well to keep Tottenham out.

Squad: Shianne St. Louis (c), Rosie Kmita, Olivia Keown, Katie Mills, Hannah Lyons, Ayse Mustafa, Renata Inniss, Taylor O’Leary, Georgia Bruce, Charlotte Dean, Nikki Hunnable, Whitney Tango, Laura Smith

Tottenham Hotspur U14 Whites 0
Southend United Academy U14 2

A friendly match between Spurs U14 Whites and the Southend United Academy side was closely contested, but the visitors came out 2-0 winners.

A goal in each half saw the Shrimpers win the match, but it proved a good learning experience for the Tottenham side.

Squad: Nicola Davey, Sian Osmond, Jodie Fenn, Paige Barnard, Zoë Jackson (c), Stephanie Smith, Lucky Di Biasio, Andrea Edobor, Chloe Gunn, Lindsey Cockle, Leasha Ngotho, Tarn Harris, Tessa Osborne, Katie Goodland, Vanessa Hassans, Laila El Haddad, Rhiannon Kelly

Tottenham Hotspur U14 Blues 1
Hitchin Town Belles U14 2

A late goal deprived Spurs U14 Blues of a point in this closely fought HCGFL match.

Although the Belles had the bulk of the play in the first half, they only had one goal to show for it as the Tottenham defence held out doggedly.

Into the second half, the pace of forward Becky Shephard took her away from two defenders before planting a shot across the keeper for the leveller.

Unfortunately, all the good work done by the Blues was unpicked, when a long ball through saw a Hitchin striker shoot over Megan Barsby to claim the winner with almost the last kick of the match.

Squad (from): Megan Barsby, Loren Hynes, Rosie Daly, Tayla Goodman, Leanne Simmons, Chante Read, Alexandra Robinson, Sinead Makins, Becky Shephard, Kirsty Cunoosamy, Chloe Kraemer, Kelly Fenlon

Barking Ladies U15 1
Tottenham Hotspur U15s 3

Two goals in the closing 10 minutes saw the Under 15’s clinch a 3-1 away victory over Barking Ladies in the HCGFL.

Alex Small put Spurs 1-0 ahead against her old club, as early as the third minute after some excellent build up play from the Spurs side.

Despite Tottenham’s first half dominance, ten minutes in the second half, Barking equalized after a speculative long ball caught the Spurs defence cold.

Opportunities fell to both sides and the woodwork was rattled at both ends, but with nine minutes to go Rebecca Hunneyball went on a mazy run through the centre of the Barking defence before coolly slotting home past the Barking keeper. With just minutes remaining, Bethany Hunter managed to latch onto a loose ball in the Barking area to make the final score 3-1.

Squad: Ricole Vyse, Leesa Shields, Hannah Davies, Ryah Vyse (c), Sophie Petros, Rebecca Hunneyball, Charlie Newson-Archer, Semma Halil, Stavroulla Panayiotou, Alex Small, Bethany Hunter Scott, Natalie Howard

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Reserves 2
Hendon Reserves 0

Slow starting Spurs struggled to find their usual fluency, but managed to grab a win with two well-worked goals against Hendon Reserves.

The chances came Tottenham’s way in the main, but they made hard work of breaking down Hendon’s stubborn resolve. The first half remained goal-less, but within seven minutes of the restart, Spurs had gone ahead with Gardiner playing the ball wide to Jessie Richards, whose cross found Charley Sandford with the chance to knock home the ball from close range.

It took until halfway through the half for the lead to be doubled, when Richards headed on a through ball to herself and cut between two defenders before hitting a low shot across the keeper. Later in the game, she almost scored again, thudding a volley against the post and Lillie Chapman curled an 18-yard shot on the turn that flew a foot wide, but Spurs retained their unbeaten status with a 2-0 victory.

Team: Laura May, Dom Clarke, Di Gardiner, Jenny Curtis, Lillie Chapman, Athena Yennaris, Sam Garner, Charley Sandford, Gill Blackmore (c), Jessie Richards, Louise van Hamme (Lizzie De Asha).

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies 1
Horley Town 0

A long-awaited win for the Spurs Ladies came courtesy of a fine goal, when many chances had once more gone begging against a determined Horley Town team.

Spurs created a number of openings, but failed to put any of them away, leaving Horley with hope that they might snatch something, but Tottenham’s control of the game paid off when Chanel Breen received the ball in the final third and played a sweet through ball over the top of the Horley defence. Shadine Mars raced onto it to find herself facing a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the speedy striker showed great composure to slot home the winner with only a few minutes to go.

The victory will give the Ladies great confidence and despite missing six first teamers, they showed they have the depth of squad to record wins against the teams around them.

Team: Lacey Amato, Carly Snell, Kerry Daniells, Kelly Herrett (c), Mel Berry, Mary Griffiths, Chanel Breen, Kathleen Clifton, Jade Perrin, Shadine Mars, Katie Taylor (Jendayi Castillo)
Unused subs. : - Lisa McCabe, Di Gardiner
