Ladies top of Xmas tree!

<B>GREATER LONDON LADIES LEAGUE<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></B><P class=MsoNormal><B>Tottenham Hotspur Ladies 8 London Women 1<o:p></o:p></B><P class=MsoNormal>Spurs Ladies are celebrating the festive season on top of the GLLL Premier Division.<P class=MsoNormal>They took out their frustrations on London Women with this crushing victory in their first game for five weeks after a string of postponements.<P class=MsoNormal>At the turn of the year it is mission accomplished so far with the ladies needing to win the championship in order to take part in promotion play-offs at the end of the season.<P class=MsoNormal>It took only nine minutes for skipper Jackie Fearon to put Tottenham one up when, with her back to goal, she controlled an awkwardly bouncing loose ball, turned and volleyed into the bottom corner.<P class=MsoNormal>London Women equalised in the 28th minute but two minutes later Rebecca Lewis restored Tottenham's lead when she ran on to a through ball and slotted past the keeper.<P class=MsoNormal>Fourteen minutes into the second half new signing Marie Cordes scored on her first team debut, knocking the ball in from close range after fine work from in-form Lewis.<P class=MsoNormal>Two goals in a minute just after the hour killed the game off. Fearon fired into the roof of the net from 20 yards after collecting a pass from Lewis before Lewis beat three players to bag her second.<P class=MsoNormal>Gill Blackmore got in on the act after 77 minutes with her first of the season, bravely heading home Michelle Oliver's cross despite colliding with the visiting keeper.<P class=MsoNormal>Lewis completed her hat-trick soon after and Oliver completed the scoring with a curling shot from the edge of the area with two minutes left.<P class=MsoNormal>Manager John Merigan expressed his pleasure at the performance and passing game played especially given the lack of matches in recent weeks.&nbsp&#59; The team welcomed back goalkeeper Tina Hills for her first game of the season following a serious leg injury in the summer.<P class=MsoNormal><B>Spurs Ladies:</B> Hills, Broderick, Tsou, Djoshkoun, Wiggen, Fearon, Blackmore, Oliver, Schillaci, Lewis, Cordes. Sub: Curtis.<P class=MsoNormal>The Under-15s lost 6-3 at Bushey Rangers in the Herts Girls League Cup with Lucy Auguste (2) and Ruth Yanatan on target.<P class=MsoNormal>The Under-13s welcomed back skipper Chloe Lawrence back after her fractured kneecap and she scored twice in the 4-3 defeat at Stevenage Borough Juniors in the HGL. Chloe Fletcher scored the third.<P class=MsoNormal>&nbsp&#59;<o:p></o:p>
