The team go into the real thing in fine form having won six of seven pre-seasion friendlies.
Manager Karen Hills is determined to push on again after the ladies narrowly avoided relegation last season.
And the mood is buoyant, as she explained. "I feel we've been given another chance to play at the top level of the women's winter game and we have to improve on last season's performance," said Karen.
"It's going to be an even tougher league this season as teams take full advantage of WSL2 (Women's Super League) players wanting to play winter football as their season doesn’t kick off again until late April.
"We've brought in a few new players to add strength to what already is a strong squad and they’ve all fitted in really well.
"The girls are excited to get the season underway. Our aim is to be as competitive in every game as possible and not to have any regrets."
Karen expects a tough challenge at Chesham. "It's their first time at this level and their greatest achievement to date," she added.
"They have made a few loan signings from Watford, player of the year Chloe Gunn and striker Jo Wilson, while Vicky Gallagher comes in from Leicester City, having also played for Birmingham City.
"They have a strong squad and I'm sure they will be hungry to achieve their first home win against us after losing away to Portsmouth last weekend in their opening game.
"We are expecting a test on Sunday but we'll be looking to get three points on the board as soon as possible."
The ladies will mark their first home match of the league campaign against Charlton next weekend by staging a Family Fun Day at their new stadium, Ware FC, starting at 11am. Kick-off is 2pm.
Juniors will be able to take part in our fun zones which include a Chirpy Penalty Shoot Out, Freestyle Zone, Samba Goals and Training Skills Zone.
Spurs Legend and Club Ambassador Ledley King will also be making a special appearance.
