A subdued Spurs side eased past Hatfield Legion Belles to stay second in their League Cup group.

Hatfield posed an early threat, but the Spurs girls fought back and missed three chances in the first half that ended 0-0.

Tottenham’s first goal came after five minutes in the second half through Whitney Tango and 10 minutes later Taylor O’Leary (pictured) scored to put Spurs Ladies 2-0 ahead.

Aysa Mustafa thought she had scored Spurs third, only to have the goal disallowed, but the side went on to claim the win.

The Under 14's put a gallant performance before slipping to a 1-0 in the HGF League Cup against Harvesters on Sunday.

Spurs forced several first half saves from the Harvesters goalkeeper, but Harvesters hit back, being well shackled by the Spurs central defensive pairing of Shikiera Lake-Richards and Hoshi Cooper-Hutchinson.

Spurs started the second half strongly, forcing a series of corners, but they were unable to capitalise on these. On 55 minutes, Harvesters broke quickly and scored the only goal of the game and despite Spurs battling right to the end, they were unable to get back on terms.

Tottenham Ladies now enter into the plate competition.

Squad: Ricole Vyse, Shikiera Richards-Lake, Hoshi Cooper-Hutchinson, Leesa Shields, Ryah Vyse, Alex Small, Sophie Petros, Stavroulla Panayiotou, Lauren Taylor-Marks, Rebecca Hunneyball, Bethany Hunter Scott, Hannah Davies, Charlie Newson-Archer, Durmush Ozner, Patrizia Leo.

Maldon Town u11 0
Tottenham Hotspur U11 4
Friendly

This friendly pitted the sides second in Hertfordshire against third in Essex and Spurs came out as winners with four good goals.

Maldon showed that they were a good side, forcing Spurs into more defending than they are used to, but Vicki Blake gave Spurs the lead putting a corner away at the far post.

Laura Newby’s goal-scoring knack saw her hit number two on the turn and it was 3-0 before the break when Tianna Carrington’s shot went in off a defender.

The second half was more sedate and although Tottenham’s defence had to mop up some Maldon attacks, they completed the win with Tori Tripp drilling home the fourth after good work from Bobbi Cubberley.

Squad: Lily-Anna Tyrimos, Vicki Blake, Hollie Watson, Katie Bell, Tianna Carrington, Marva Kreel, Bobbi Cubberley, Laura Newby, Tori Tripp, Amy Woff, Charlotte McLucas.
