Kirsten Thomson struck as Spurs Ladies toppled Brighton 1-0 in the FA Women's Premier League South on Sunday.
Kirsten (pictured above) was first to react to Jenna Schillaci's pass to slide home the winner in the 30th minute at Harlow Town FC.
The match marked the debut of new signing, Welsh international striker Emma Plewa - the ladies' first international, formerly with Chelsea - and she impressed as the team made it two wins, three draws and just one defeat in their opening six games at this higher level.
"To sign Emma is a real achievement for the club," said manager Karen Hills.
"She worked really hard on Sunday and going forward she will be a great signing for us."
The ladies next face Millwall in the Premier League South at Harlow Town FC on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.
SPURS LADIES 1-0 BRIGHTON
The ladies had to work hard for their second win of the Premier League South campaign on Sunday.
Karen Hills made changes to the line-up with Emma Plewa up front for her debut and Claire Gibbons in at left-back.
The Seagulls were put under pressure from the first whistle and scored what turned out to be the winner on the half-hour, when Kirsten Thomson pounced to poke home the loose ball when the visitors failed to clear Jenna Schillaci's vall into the penalty area.
Jess Cheeseman came on for injured Nicola Cable in the second half and impressed in the holding role, breaking up a number of Brighton attacks.
Wendy Martin had a couple of headed chances that went astray and it was left to the defence to see out the game as Brighton pushed on for an equaliser.
"I was pleased with the performance," said Karen. "Emma came in and impressed on her debut and I made a few changes to give the other girls a chance and they all did well."
Spurs Ladies: Jo Ayre, Miranda Hall, Sam Pittuck, Ebony Heath, Claire Gibbons, Nicola Cable (Jess Cheeseman) Wendy Martin, Jenna Schillaci, Kirsten Thomson, Derrie O'Halloran, (Rosie Webb) Emma Plewa.
