Ladies in action tonight

Posted on 17 September 2015  - 14:15

As the first team take on Qarabag, Spurs Ladies face their toughest test of the season against Charlton in the FA Women's Premier League tonight (Thursday, September 17).

Charlton are unbeaten in four matches in the FAWPL and have some top performers at this level in their ranks including Kim Dixson, Kit Graham and Gemma Shepherd, who scored a hat-trick in their 4-1 win against C&K Basildon on Sunday.

Spurs have won three on the trot as well after toppling Forest Green on Sunday and the teams go into tonight's match fourth and fifth in the FAWPL South.

"This will be our toughest test so far this season," said manager Karen Hills, who won the Women's FA Cup during a successful playing career at Charlton.

"Charlton have some top players and I'm sure they will be right up there at the end of the season.

"We're playing well though. We've won three on the trot and no team has dominated us. We just have to iron out a few individual mistakes and we'll be fine.

"We've had some great games against Charlton including the Ryman Cup Final at the end of last season and I'm sure tonight won't be any different."

If you aren't at the Lane, why not cheer on the ladies tonight? They kick-off at 7.45pm at Cheshunt FC. Entry is free for One Hotspur Members, £3 for adults and just £1 for Under-16s and free for Under-5s.
