Ladies aim for repeat

Posted on 21 October 2000  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Spurs Ladies are looking for a repeat performance in the Greater London Ladies League on Sunday.

Table-topping Spurs take on QPR - the same team they hammered six goals past in the Premier Division last weekend.

Spokeswoman Kay Lovelock insists that will count for nothing on Sunday - not least with her side without last week's goal hero Lucy Pinnock, Helen Wilson and Teresa Broderick amongst others.

"We won't take anything for granted," said Kay. "Just because we beat them last week doesn't mean we're assuming we'll beat them by six again. It doesn't work like that.

"We've also a few players out but the reserves will come in and we've every confidence in them. It's a squad game, even at our level."

The first team game is at QPR's Warren Farm Sports Ground home (2pm). The reserves face Charlton Reserves in GLLL Reserve Division One at the Frederick Knight Sports Ground, Tottenham (2pm) while both the Under-13s and Under-15s are in Herts Girls League action.
