Kyle's goal for life

Posted on 22 February 2012  - 18:05

Kyle Walker has quickly realised what it means to score a winning goal against Arsenal.

Kyle's goal for life

The flying full-back did exactly that in his first North London derby as we toppled the Gunners 2-1 back in October.

Kyle picked up the ball 35 yards from goal, controlled and lashed past Wojciech Szczesny to send the Lane into raptures and enter his name in derby folklore.

“That goal comes up in every interview I do!” said Kyle, as we prepare for Sunday’s encounter at the Emirates.

“As I always say, I just thought ‘why not have a shot?’, it went in and we took the three points. It was a great day.”

Kyle insists the players cannot wait for Sunday.

We travel to N5 in third place in the Premier League having lost just two of our last 23 matches. Arsenal are fourth.

“The lads are buzzing,” he added. “It’s the North London derby, we're well up for it and you can see that in training day in, day out. We’re putting the work in and hopefully it will pay off on Sunday.”

Look out for an interview with Kyle, plus Michael Dawson, Gareth Bale and Harry Redknapp by the end of the week on Spurs TV Online as we countdown to Sunday.
