Kyle Walker said his friend and fellow full-back Kyle Naughton is enjoying his time at Norwich – and the Canaries could give us a ‘real test’ on Tuesday night.
The Kyles joined us from Sheffield United in the summer of 2009 and while Kyle Walker has established himself in the first team this season, Kyle Naughton has been impressing in Norwich’s fine start to the Premier League campaign.
Paul Lambert’s men are 11th after the Boxing Day fixtures having lost just two matches at Carrow Road.
Right-back Kyle has played 16 of Norwich’s 17 matches so far but cannot us face us tonight under the terms of his loan.
“We speak a lot,” said Kyle Walker, who will be tearing down his flank at Carrow Road. “He’s said he’s enjoying it at Norwich.
“We’ll prepare as we normally do and hopefully we’ll get the right result. Norwich are doing well in the Premier League and if they continue playing how they are playing, they’ll give us a real test.”
Kyle admitted to a few nerves in Thursday night’s draw against Chelsea.
“It’s probably the first game where I’ve felt a little nervous,” he said. “That’s saying something because I don’t normally get nervous.
“There was pressure but with the players we’ve got, we don’t take too much notice of that, we play our game and it’s generally pays off.”
