Defender Kyle was delighted to see his White Hart Lane team-mate grab the plaudits with a man of the match display and stunning goal in Friday’s 4-1 win over Montenegro at Wembley.
And our popular right-back wants winger Andros to demonstrate similar amounts of flare this evening, with the Three Lions knowing victory will be enough to secure qualification for next summer’s tournament finals in Brazil.
“I think my mate Andros has just got to do what he kept doing the other day,” said Kyle.
“He’s on fire at the minute and hopefully he comes up with another goal.”
Kyle himself has been forced to sit out tonight’s match after picking up a booking – his second of the qualifying campaign – against Montenegro on Friday.
Naturally disappointed to miss out, he remains positive about England’s chances of going to Brazil, and is as determined as ever to ensure he earns a place in the potential travelling party next summer.
“It would have been my tenth cap if I’d have been selected to play (against Poland tonight), so it is disappointing in a lot of areas,” Kyle added.
“But I’ve just got to put it behind me now and hopefully I’m on that plane come the end of the season to go to Brazil.
“What a fantastic achievement it would be for me personally, and hopefully I can bring something good to England as well.”
