We conducted important research earlier this year regarding replica kits and these new designs have been a result of feedback from our supporters and input from the players.
Indeed, the thoughts of the fans have been extremely valuable in helping us determine the range and style of merchandise that we will be offering next season and beyond.
Our aim is to continue to meet demand for greater variety and choice in all of the merchandise ranges that we offer including the replica kit.
To give a little background on the two main shirts we spoke to Steve Mason, our Head of Retail, to outline the thinking behind the kit designs for next season.
“Tottenham blue has had a varied presence in the home shirt over the years and more recently, the more popular shirts have contained quite a large degree of blue. So while last season’s all-white shirt was a traditional offering for those who prefer the classic look, this time we are bringing more blue back to produce a great football shirt with a modern look. Early indications are that this one is going to be well received.”
“Traditionally the club has used several different shades of blue, as the colour has a strong association with us. Navy blue has been used in the home kit for years and past away kits have seen different blues - navy last year and sky the year before. This year’s blue is a new, vibrant, up-to-date shade — a far more contemporary shirt for this year.”
Every penny spent on official Club merchandise at Spurs Stores, spurs.co.uk and Spurs Direct goes directly back into the Club and we appreciate the fantastic support fans continue to demonstrate.
