The waspish young winger opened the scoring against the physically-testing Ryman League Premier League side - with a header!
It took just seven minutes for the Republic of Ireland youth international to make his mark as we ran out 4-0 winners at Kingsmeadow.
Kenny actually led a break from our half, found Jon Obika on the left, continued his run and then darted between defenders to meet Jon’s cross and power home his header.
"I wasn’t expecting that myself!" smiled Kenny. "I played the ball to Jon Obika, got into the box and found myself in the right place to head it in.
"No-one knew who it was! I’m glad I got a header - it shows a bit of diversity in my game!"
Kenny recognises an important year ahead. Having impressed in the second half of last season for our title-winning Under-21 team – scoring three times in 11 appearances - he knows the management team will be looking for him to progress again.
“I’m looking to do well next season, score goals, get some assists, perhaps even go on loan if I’m playing well well enough,” he added.
“Hopefully we can repeat what the team did last season when we won both titles (in the Barclays U21 Premier League). It’s such a great team to play in as well. Hopefully I’ll play plenty of games and impress enough to push on.”
