Kilner: 'Score flattered them'

Posted on 18 February 2001 - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

County boss Andy Kilner insisted the 4-0 final scoreline flattered us after our FA Cup clash at the Lane.
Two goals from Simon Davies an own goal and Ledley King’s early header saw us comfortably through to the quarter-finals.
But Kilner declared: “I thought 4-0 flattered them slightly. I didn't think the first goal was a free-kick and the second looked offside.
“I will stand corrected on both of those once I have seen them.
“That obviously made it difficult because we had to chase the game. We wanted to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes or so.
“I thought we played quite well, kept playing, passed the ball and showed good character - I thought we had a lot of good performances.”
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
