The former Burnley man won high praise for his performance in last weekend’s FA Cup victory at Colchester United, in which he set up our third goal for Nacer Chadli with one of a number of pinpoint deliveries into the box.
Kyle then got in on the act with a tremendous display in Tuesday’s 3-0 Premier League triumph at Norwich City, with Kieran highlighting just how fierce the competition for places is under Mauricio Pochettino.
“Kyle has done brilliantly since the start of the season and I’ve been given my chances too,” said the 25-year-old.
“It’s important that I keep getting 90 minutes under my belt like I did at Colchester and give my best for the team.
“It keeps everyone fresh and on their toes – there’s competition in every position in this team now and that’s great because it only makes you a better player and you can push each other on.
“Not only that, we’ve got a lot of players who can play in different positions too. Look at Eric Dier for example – he slots in at centre-back if needed, so that’s a massive bonus for us as well.”
