Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our Academy side return to action on Saturday with a friendly against Brentford at Spurs Lodge.

It will be a first run out for our nine First Year trainees and a few schoolboys who have moved up from Under-15 to Under-16s. Kick-off is 11am.

Coach Pat Holland said: "The new First Years have applied themselves really well. Obviously it's new to them, the expectations are higher, pressure is more intense and it's always a bit of a culture shock.

"They come in from school, go into full-time training and are expected to be here all day with the various little jobs they have to do. There are things they are unaccustomed to but they've all adapted well.

"We have a chat with them all and we just tell them to look after themselves, get plenty of rest, eat properly and all the things that will help them in their time here.

"John McDermott has come in as Academy Manager and we'll try a new formation tomorrow with the players.

"They've worked hard, John's put a lot of ideas to them and we're all waiting to see how those ideas bed in."
