The striker started the ball rolling from the penalty spot in the first half as we dominated the Premier League encounter at the Lane.

Mousa Dembele fired in for 2-0 and Roberto provided the assist for Aaron Lennon’s volley to put the issue beyond doubt on 69 minutes.

Roberto’s successful spot-kick made it 10 goals in all competitions for the campaign so far as we made it seven points out of nine over the Festive period.

“It was a really important win for us because we haven’t won at home for a while,” said the Spanish international. “Of course, scoring the goal felt good and that started us off for a fantastic win.

“We were really ambitious and went at them from the first minute. That paid off. We pressed and pressed and winning the game meant everything to us.”
