Our Head Coach sees it as a big moment in the season on the back of three straight defeats in the Premiership with the Carling Cup last 16 clash at Burnley and the massive game against Arsenal on the horizon.
"It's the same for us and for Charlton, we need the three points on Saturday," said Jacques.
"I hope for a good spirit and I think it's a game for each player to take his responsibility. It's a game for each players, the team, the club and the fans.
"I hope we play well for the 90 minutes because it is important to get the three points for our confidence and the games ahead in the Carling Cup and against Arsenal.
"It's an important moment in the season both to win this game and because we lost our last two home games against Manchester United and Bolton. The players want to win."
Jacques Santini has stressed the importance of taking three points against Charlton on Saturday.
