We take on the Slovenian champions at the Ljudski vrt Stadium tonight (Thursday, October 25, 6pm UK time) in Matchday Three of Group J before the return for Matchday Four at White Hart Lane on Thursday, November 8.
Group J is finely poised with Lazio top on four points, Maribor on three after beating Panathinaikos, we're on two after two draws and Panathinaikos currently bottom on one point.
Tonight's other fixture sees Panathinaikos host Lazio.
"We'll have a clear picture as to where we stand after these two games against Maribor," said Andre.
"Certainly, we have an opportunity to win this game and then take Maribor to White Hart Lane and be in a good position to qualify.
"Maribor have done tremendously well in the last decade. They've won lots of Slovenian titles, they are the best club in the country and the coach (Darko Milanic) is well-established and knows his team well.
"They are an attack-minded team. They were on a run of six winning matches before losing twice, once to Lazio, once in the league, but just before our game they won against Olympija (their closest rivals) and they will take motivation and strength from that.
"We are very focused, we want to do our job - to get the win - and get back into a good position in the group."
