The Czech goalkeeper joined us in January 2005 and deputised for Paul Robinson when the England No.1 suffered a knee injury in our penultimate home game of last season against Aston Villa and proceeded to feature in the final two fixtures of the season against Middlesbrough and Blackburn.
During pre-season, the 32-year-old played a key role in our Peace Cup success in South Korea and has provided the goalkeeping back-up in every one of our games this season.
"Radek has impressed everybody in the 15 months he has been at the Club," said Sporting Director Damien Comolli. "His application, professionalism and team ethic is outstanding. He is an extremely popular member of the squad and we are delighted to have secured his services for an extended period."
We are delighted to announce that agreement has been reached with Slavia Prague for the loan arrangement of Radek Cerny to be extended until 2008.
