The association between football and leading a healthy lifestyle, as promoted by the coaching staff, will hopefully educate children to keep off the railways.
The partnership has only been up and running for four months, but has already been successful in providing a large number of coaching sessions in the local area.
It is estimated that the scheme has coached some 3,000 children already.
The community coaching sessions will be becoming more frequent over the coming months with schemes taking place in Broxbourne and Cheshunt as well as continuing within London. In addition a number of After School sessions will be starting as soon as the early evenings become lighter.
A number of special events have been lined up to keep children occupied in the half term and Easter Holidays. These sessions are taking place at Saffron Walden, Chigwell, Epping, Hertford. Potters Bar, Southgate, Harlow and Finchley.
Railtrack’s sponsorship of our Community Coaching Scheme continues to prosper, the aim of which is to highlight the dangers of trespass and vandalism on the railways.
