The 19-year-old made notable progress in his 30 games for our Under-18s and one appearance for the reserves.
He saved his best for the FA Youth Cup with penalty shoot-our heroics at Liverpool and another fine display at Watford as we reached the semi-finals.
Coach Hans has kept a close eye and said: "People say he’s improved 50 per cent but that’s mild — he’s improved even more than that.
"I’ve known him for quite a few years now, the club took him on not knowing what we would have but we’ve seen him grow as a goalkeeper.
"His decision making is very positive and it’s a funny position, you never know, it could be another keeper who could push through if he keeps progressing.
"Last season was a huge season for him, he got through it and he’s now with me next season and that’s another level.
"I will train him very hard because he’ll be with Robbo, Radek and Fulop and they are all internationals. It will be a big test for him and hopefully he’ll improve again."
Hans Segers continues his assessment of how our goalkeepers shaped up last season with a young talent that started to blossom - Academy keeper Tommy Forecast.
