Our legendary former striker is part of the MLS squad for the league's showpiece event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (DSG) on Wednesday (7.15pm local time; 2.15am UK).
Three-time MLS champion with LA Galaxy, it’s the third time ‘Keano’ has been selected for the All Stars and having had to withdraw through injury in 2013 and 2014, he’s now counting the hours to a reunion with the club that still tugs on his heart strings.
“The All Star game is a big occasion for the league and something you see over here in basketball, baseball and NFL,” said Robbie in an exclusive interview with tottenhamhotspur.com ahead of the occasion.
“Every player in the MLS wants to be involved in this game.
“This is a special one for me because it’s against Tottenham, my club, the club where I felt I made my name and had a big impact.
“Everyone knows Spurs is a club very close to my heart, so this is a big deal for me.”
The Republic of Ireland great made 306 appearances for us in all competitions in two spells between 2002-2011.
Robbie scored 122 goals in that time - one of only 16 players in our 133-year history to hit a century – and stands 10th in our list of all-time goalscorers.
Look out for a ‘Big Interview’ with Robbie on Monday…
