Our Japanese international was on the substitute's bench for Monday night's clash against Fulham at the Lane.
He was handed a warm welcome by the home crowd but didn't cap his night by going onto the field of play in the 1-1 draw.
'Kazu' has since played another reserve game, a 2-1 reverse against West Ham on Tuesday night and hopes to get his first taste of the action next time around.
"I was very happy with the crowd's reception," said the midfielder. "I was on the bench and hopefully soon I will be able to get out onto the pitch and show those fans what I can do.
"I really wanted to play against Fulham and hopefully it won't be long now."
It has naturally taken the World Cup star time to settle into his new surroundings but he believes he is gradually getting there.
"I think each game I'm playing I'm getting better, especially with things like passing the ball," he said. "But I still have some mistakes that I don't like myself and I still need to improve."
Kazuyuki Toda has been within touching distance of his Premiership debut - he now can't wait to step over the white line.
