Our American number one played every minute of our 41 games in all competitions - the first time he'd achieved the feat in his 11-year professional career stretching back to Portland in 1991-92.
Kasey picked up last season where he left off having stepped in for injured Neil Sullivan for the final seven games of 2001-02.
Recently named Opta Index's Player of the Season at Spurs, Kasey was determined to bounce back from the personal disappointment of losing his USA spot to Brad Friedel in the World Cup and not to let his goalkeeper's jersey go at the Lane.
He reflected: "I played the last seven games of last season and everyone was happy with my form.
"After the personal disappointment of the World Cup, I wasn't just going to let those last seven games go.
"I wanted to come back and make this position my own, so everyone at the club would say 'he's the number one'. That was my goal.
"But I achieved a little more than that because I'd never played every minute of every game in all my seasons as a professional and I was able to do that this season.
"There were times I played on in a little pain but I was able to get through it. It was nice to know at 33 that I could do that. I feel proud about that."

Kasey Keller feels rightly proud of completing last season as our only ever-present player.
