An ever-present last season, the goalkeeper took a chip out of his right elbow after landing and needed his left elbow cleaned out.
Although increasingly uncomfortable, Kasey waited until the end of the campaign before undergoing surgery in the States.
"Everything has gone well," said Kasey. "The left elbow needed to be cleaned out because it was locking up on me and this was a good time to do it rather than wake up in January not being able to move my arm."
Kasey will miss this month's FIFA Confederations Cup in France where the USA take on Turkey (June 19), Brazil (June 21) and Cameroon (June 23) in Group B. Hosts France, New Zealand, Japan and Colombia are in Group A.
But he is aiming to join up with the squad in July as they prepare to defend their CONCACAF Golf Cup crown on home soil.
He added: "I'm looking to play in the Gold Cup and will probably join up with the team on July 1st. There's a friendly on the sixth and the tournament starts on the 12th."
That friendly is against Paraguay before Gold Cup fixtures against El Salvador and Martinique on July 12 and 14.
Kasey Keller reports that surgery on his elbows has been a success and he's aiming to return to international action in July.
