Kasey Keller described the USA's stunning win over Portugal in their World Cup opener as 'wild', while admitting his disappointment at missing out.
Blackburn's Brad Friedel got the nod and took his place between the sticks as a great moment in USA football history unfolded. Kasey went on to explain that it appeared all was not well in the Portugal camp.
"It was wild," said Kasey. "It was obviously disappointing not to be involved with such a great result. But it was such a strange game.
"I was speaking with one of the other Portuguese goalkeepers and he was saying that things have been wrong. The first 15 minutes really kind of emphasised some of the problems, some of the feeling of the way that they felt - just not with it 100 per cent.
"We had a bit of luck obviously and things just kinda fell for us."
