Signed from Rayo Vallecano at the start of the 2001-02 season, Kasey wrested the goalkeeper's jersey from Neil Sullivan against Middlesbrough in March, 2002 and didn't let go.
The USA international remained number one until the start of the 2004-05 season and the arrival of Paul Robinson - a run of 92 consecutive games.
Kasey departed for Borussia Moenchengladbach in January 2005 and is now back in the Premier League after being snapped up by Fulham only last week - he made his debut straight away in the Cottagers' 2-1 defeat at Villa last weekend.
Hans was his coach - and golf partner - throughout that period. "Kasey was here for four years and never let us down," said Hans. "He was consistent, solid and a tremendous professional with the work he put in day in, day out.
"Kasey was always a bit of a headbanger, he loves his heavy metal music and it never surprised me when he threw his head in front of anything!
"I spoke to him last week when he signed for Fulham and he’s glad to be back, there was interest in him including the chance to go and settle back home in America but once Fulham came in, it was a challenge for him and knowing Kasey, he loves a challenge.
"Kasey's a great guy, I’ve still a good friendship with him and I’m looking forward to seeing him again this weekend."
Hans Segers is looking forward to a reunion with our former number one Kasey Keller at Fulham on Saturday.
