There was also a determination to take this form into our next game against Brighton back at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Heung-Min Son rightly received plenty of plaudits after taking the game to Stoke from the first whistle.
Playing off the left of our attacking midfield three in the 4-2-3-1 system, Sonny set up the first goal (an own goal), scored the important second goal and then set up the fifth for Christian Eriksen, who celebrated his 200th appearance for us in style.

In-between, Harry Kane bagged goals three and four - and all three goalscorers spoke to us afterwards...
Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son
Harry: "Sonny had a fantastic game. He got us started with a great cross and in the second half, a great finish as well (for 2-0). We needed that, we needed to start sharp and it was great to win and win like that, that was important.”
Sonny: "We showed at 2-0 that we had the confidence to play, everyone wanted the ball, everyone wanted to score. We had even more chances. We're really happy to get these three points."
Harry: "We had a tough spell in the Premier League recently and we wanted to put that right. We were all up for this one and we said we had to get ahead because we've been going behind and having to chase the game against teams like Stoke, it's difficult to get back into it. In the second half we were on fire."

Sonny on his performance: “I always try to give options on the left. The movement from Harry and Dele make it easier because I can go one against one, sometimes cross, sometimes shoot. I have many options."
Harry on his form: “I feel good, I feel sharp. It was important for everyone to play well. It was a shame we couldn’t keep a clean sheet as well but Hugo and the defence, midfield, everyone put in a great shift and we deserved to win.”
Sonny - best form of Spurs career? “I’m not sure. Last season I got two Player of the Months! I try to be there, try to work hard and try to stay in this form to help my team-mates.”

On his 200th Spurs appearance
"It’s gone quickly! It’s a big thing and I’m pleased about that. It was a nice win for the 200th game as well, it’s incredible and after a few draws and few lost points this feels really good."
On the performance against Stoke
"Our possession was a bit better against Stoke than it has been lately and when you score goals it makes it easier and more fluent and we now have to do the same things on Wednesday. It will be tough again, Brighton will probably look for a point - we want all three."
